Dreambox ile Wireless Ethernet Bağlantısı

Requirements:
Dreambox DM7000
USB Wireless Network device (see compability list)
Image version > 1.08 or a proper image based on that version
350KB of free /var memory for installation in flash memory
50KB of free /var memory for installation on HDD or USB (after installation only 5KB will be used) For connecting a Wireless Lan Adapter and a USB memory ***, you need a small USB hub.
Properly working null-modem or FTP connection with your Dreambox.



FTP installation:
Run 'wifi_install.exe'
Choose transfer mode 'FTP'
Enter the Dreambox IP address
Make sure the Dreambox username and Password are correct (default: root, dreambox)
Press 'Install all Files to the Dreambox'
Wait for the status windows to show 'All files sent OK'
Note: FTP installation just takes a few seconds. We advice to not use your computer during that time.

Now proceed to the plugin menu of your Dreambox and launch the 'Wireless Lan Plugin Installer'



Select the installation Device (Flash, USB(stick) or HDD) and press 'Install'.



Now leave the plugin menu and re-enter it. You will now see you newly installed 'Wireless Lan Plugin'

Make sure the Dreambox username and Password are correct (default: root, dreambox)
Press 'Install all Files to the Dreambox'
Wait for the status windows to show 'All files sent OK'
Note: ****** installation takes about 2-3 minutes. We advice to not use your computer during that time.

Now proceed to the plugin menu of your Dreambox and launch the 'Wireless Lan Plugin Installer'



oSelect the installation Device (Flash, USB(stick) or HDD) and press 'Install'.



Now leave the plugin menu and re-enter it. You will now see your newly installed 'Wireless Lan Plugin'

Plugin configuration:



Enable DHCP if your network router supports this.
Disable if you want to enter your network settings manually.


DHCP can only be used if it is not already enabled on your Dreambox LAN interface.


Activate the wireless network and disable the Dreambox LAN interface if desired. If you keep using the standard Dreambox LAN interface, make sure you use a different IP address for both LAN interfaces.

Press 'Next' (blue button)



For following settings, please refer to the manual of your wireless access point or router.

Enter you Network SSID(wireless network name)
Choose the Network type: Infrastructure = Dreambox to router/accesspoint, Ad-hoc = Dreambox to computer network.

If you use Ad-Hoc you need to set the channel and the used transfer rate. If using 'infrastructure', these settings are done automatically.

Choose the used security mode (shared ***, open system) or leave security off. Choose the keyformat, length and keynumber.

Enter the wep ***. Save settings by pressing 'apply'. Your link and signal bars should now work.



About, License and Uninstall



The about window, displays your USB adapters MAC address, registration ***, license expirery date, status and a copyright statement.

Since this is a trial version, you license will expire at the date displayed in the about window.

For a full licensed (non expirering) version, you need to purchase this software.

In order to remove this plugin and it's drivers, use the remove button on the 'About page' The plugin will be removed entirely.
